PATH purchased 45 PA-3 cars from Hawker-Siddeley in 1972. These cars are all "A" cars with cabs and are numbered from 724–769.
These cars were overhauled in the mid-1980s by Morrison Knudsen along with the PA-1 and PA-2] cars.
